Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the rest of the season!

England pacer Jofra Archer has once again suffered an injury that will keep him out of the game for a significant amount of time. He missed the majority of the last season and also missed the Indian T20 League in 2021 and in 2022. England banked heavily on him to deliver as the nation looks to regain the prestige that they lost in the last one and a half year. With Archer missing out, the pressure will once again fall on Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad to deliver in New Zealand and then against India in their home turf.

In an official statement, the English board has said, “After being diagnosed with a stress fracture to the lower back, England and Sussex seamer Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the rest of the season”.

The statement also read, “No timeframe has been set for his return. A management plan will be determined following further specialist opinion over the coming days”.

It’s not just Jofra; many bowlers including Mark Wood, Ollie Robinson and others are injured and won’t be able to take part in the coming series’. Should England bring in a new strength and conditioning coach for domestic cricket? Definitely so.
