AB De Villiers calls his times, retires from all forms of the game

What a journey this has been! AB De Villiers, the cricketing legend from the land of Africa has called his time and will be retiring from all forms of cricket effective immediately. In an official tweet from his Bangalore family, the decision has been announced and the cricketing world is very emotional with this major news.

De Villiers is one such player who can even win the heart of his opposition. People used to stop doing their work and used to see him bat. In an official statement released by the Bangalore camp said, “I have had a long and fruitful time playing for Bangalore. Eleven years have just whizzed by and leaving the boys is extremely bittersweet. Of course, arriving at this decision took a lot of time, but after a lot of contemplation, I have decided to hang up my boots and spend quality time with my family”.

The legend has also thanked his long time friend Virat Kohli and other coaching staffs. He added, “I would like to thank Bangalore management, my friend Virat Kohli, coaches, support staff, fans and the entire Bangalore family for showing faith and supporting me all through these years”.

He announced his retirement from International cricket a long time ago and there has been a lot of controversies and conspiracy ever since but now as the legend has finally decided to retire all that will come to an end. However, with his retirement, things will completely change in the Bangalore camp. Virat Kohli has decided to relinquish his captaincy and now this will be a huge blow to all the supporters but the team who has never won a championship can start fresh and build a team for the future.

Nevertheless, the team will miss Mr.360 as the man has delivered so many times for the team in the Indian T20 Series. To conclude, the 37-year-old legend said that the “flame no longer burns so brightly”. We are sure that he’s just being modest here as the fans know what he can still do on a cricket pitch!
