Ace Sri Lankan all-rounder out of Galle test due to COVID-19

He has been ruled out of the ongoing Test series in Galle after he felt unwell on the second day of the first test against Australia. Oshada Fernando has been named as the replacement for Mathews.

The test was done, as the player was feeling unwell. Accordingly, he has been isolated from the rest of the team members and is following Covid-19 protocols."
Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Dimuth Karunaratne winning the toss opted to bat first and made 212 runs in the 1st innings. In return, Australia scored 321 losing all their wickets, taking a 109 runs first-innings lead.
