Ashton Agar tests COVID positive

Australia are down to picking a playing XI out of an available squad of 13 players for the ongoing ODI series against Pakistan after Ashton Agar was tested positive in a latest COVID test earlier today.

Ashton’s results came hours before the opening one day fixture in Lahore. Wicket keeper batsman, Josh Inglis is the other player who has been confirmed positive. The pair will now isolate and not feature in the remaining ODIs.

Australia are also highly likely to miss the services of Mitchel Marsh who is ruled out of today's game and remains an improbable starter for the rest of the series due to an injury caused during training. The visitors are already fielding an inexperienced unit without the likes of Maxwell, Hazlewood, Warner, Cummins and Smith who are not of a part of the white ball setup due to the Indian T20 League.
