The 24th Match of the Australian T20 League will be played between REN and SCO in Docklands Stadium of Melbourne on the 1st of January 2023 at 08:10 AM IST. Both teams have had a good season and stand in the top three. REN is at number four with three wins and three losses in six matches, whereas SCO stands on top of the table with four wins and one defeat in five games.

REN began their tournament with three consecutive wins, beating HEA twice. In the first match, REN beat HEA by 22 runs, and in the next match, they beat poor THU in a high-scoring encounter. And again, in the third match, they beat HEA by four wickets. After that, however, REN lost their last three matches, failing to chase and defend a low-scoring total against SIX (twice) and HUR, respectively. Despite losing the last three low total games, REN managed to set themselves in the fourth position with the help of Captain Nic Maddinson (129 in 6 matches) and Aaron Finch (171 in 6 matches). However, the bowling segment of REN is way far opposite from batting. In the last two out of three matches, REN restricted HUR and SIX below 125. Akeal Hosein (12 wickets in 6 matches) and Tom Rogers (9 wickets in 6 matches) are their Ace bowlers this season.

SCO sits on the top with the fantastic batting service of Josh Inglis and Aaron Hardie. Inglis scored 187 in five matches, and Hardie scored the second-highest 136 in the same number of matches despite playing as a bowler. SCO bowlers were also exceptional this season. Jhye Richardson and Andrew Tye are in commanding positions and took 12 and 10 wickets, respectively.
