Preview

The 14th match of the Aussie T20 League between HUR and REN will be played at Hobart on Saturday, 24th December 2022, at 10:00 AM IST. HUR came here after losing a close match against SIX, which was affected by the rain. At the same time, REN won their previous game against HEA by four wickets.

HUR is currently in 5th Position on the points table, having one win and two losses in three matches. REN is having a good time in the league till now and holds second place with three wins out of 3 games.

HUR started their campaign on a low note and lost their opening encounter against STA while chasing a massive total of 184. But in their second match, they beat the best team in this league SCO by eight runs, where they somehow successfully defended an excellent total of 172 runs. In their last nail-biting match, HUR lost in the last over. They needed 22 in the final over but lost by six runs.

On the other side, REN has been fantastic this season till now and won 3 out of 3 matches. Interestingly, REN beat the HEA two times with a margin of 22 runs in their first encounter and by four wickets in their second meet. REN also outplayed the worst T20 run total record holder THU in a high chase between these matches.

Both teams have some exceptional performers. HUR has Asif Ali, Tim David, Shadab Khan, and Matthew Wade on their side, who can turn the table of the game anytime with their excellence. REN has Aaron Finch, Andre Russell, Akeal Hosein, and Kane Richardson with the same ability.

Matthew Wade is the current highest scorer for HUR. He scored 101 in the last three matches and scored a quick 51 (five 4s, two 6s) vs SCO. The bowling unit of HUR was also perfect. HUR’s bowlers took 19 wickets in three matches, and their star bowler is Patrick Dooley, with seven wickets.

From the REN’s team, Nic Maddinson is the highest scorer with 128 runs in three matches. Maddinson is also getting good support from the batting side, as Finch and Russell are also in marvelous form. Bowlers of REN took 18 wickets in the last three matches. The best bowler from their side is Akeal Hosein and Tom Rogers, who took seven wickets each.

Both sides are batting and bowling looking well, and both teams are match winners. It will be interesting to see which one will get a final laugh.

Hot Fantasy Picks

Wicket Keeper

Matthew Wade: Wade is in great touch as he is the highest scorer for HUR. He can also give points to your fantasy team through his brilliant wicketkeeping. Wade could be an excellent C/VC option too.

Batsmen

Nic Maddinson: Nic Maddinson is undoubtedly an excellent batting option for your team. He is the opener and  Captain of his side. He made just two runs in REN’s previous game but can be an excellent destructive option.

Asif Ali: Asif Ali can be a risky but great option as he bats in the lower middle order. If the top order collapsed, he could be the savior of HUR and your fantasy team. He almost won the last match for his franchise with a quick 41 on just 13 runs with four 4s and three 6s.

All Rounders

Shadab Khan: No one can forget Shadab’s performance against South Africa in T20 World Cup 2022. He is very familiar with these types of pitches. Also, he is an economical wicket-taking option. He could also be an excellent option for C/VC.

Andre Russell: Andre Russell was the man of the match in his earlier game against HEA for his thunderous knock of 57 runs (two 4s and Six 6s). He was also good at bowling, giving only 16 runs in two overs. It can be an excellent option for an all-rounder in this one too.

Bowlers

Akeal Hosein: Although Tom Rogers is the highest wicket-taker, Akeal Hosein can be a  Rogers is the highest wicket-taker, but Akeal Hosein can be a good bowling option. He also gives you some big hits when he comes to bat. In the last match, he played a crucial knock of 30 runs in 19 balls (2*4s, 2*6s) against HEA.

Patrick Dooley: Patrick Dooley is an economical and wicket-taking option. Patrick is an expert at thrashing opponents’ top and middle order. He will be a good bowler for your fantasy pick.
