Heat and Renegades will lock horns in the third match of the 12th edition of the Australian T20 League. The two sides had a lot in common last year, but nothing positive. They finished at the bottom two positions, winning only three games throughout the season, and suffered an embarrassing exit with a negative run rate. 

While Heat finished seventh last season with three wins and 11 losses, Renegades finished at the bottom place with ten losses from 14 matches and a disappointing NRR of -1.447. Both teams will be eager to put their best foot forward in their opening meeting and start their 2022 campaign with a win. The two teams will battle it out at the Cazaly’s Stadium, Cairns on Thursday.

Aaron Finch- The 36-year-old Australia T20 skipper has shrugged off hamstring concerns and will be an intimidating figure at the bat in this encounter. In the Australian T20 League, he had a best score of 111.  

All Rounders

Andre Russell- The West Indies all rounder is a force to reckon with both bat and ball. He can provide his team with a late flourish during the back end of the innings and rattle the opposition batters with ball in hand.

Bowlers 

Mujeeb Ur Rahman- The spin bowler is certain to cause impact in this game. He has shown promise off late with a string of impressive performances in his last few games. 

Akeal Hossain-  The 29 year old Caribbean star will be expected to be at his very best while representing the Renegades at the Australian T20 League. He enjoyed a successful stint with NYS in the just concluded UAE T10 League. We fancy him to continue his golden run with the ball.
