Australian T20 League 2022

Match 7: REN vs THU

Preview

Renegades will face Thunder in the seventh game of the Big Bash League 2022 at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne on Sunday. Renegades defeated  Heat by 22 runs in their first game. They scored 166 runs for the loss of seven wickets, with skipper Nic Maddinson leading the way. Renegades' Akeal Hosein shone with the ball, taking three wickets for 15 runs in four overs.

Thunder had a good start to their season against Stars, winning by one wicket. Gurinder Sandhu was named Player of the Match after taking two wickets and scoring 20 runs off 16 deliveries. Their season took a turn for the worse in their previous match against the Adelaide Strikers. Thunder were bowled out for 15 runs and were defeated by a score of 124 runs. This is now the lowest T20 score ever. They couldn't put up any form of fight when chasing an average target of 140 and folded after only 15 runs. They'll be keen to get back on track after that humiliation against the Renegades.

Hot Fantasy Picks

Wicket Keeper

Sam Harper- The pocket dynamite packs a punch with bat in hand. He is someone who likes to take the attack to the opposition bowlers right from the onset.

Batsmen

Alex Hales- Alex Hales has not scored more than 20 runs in any of his past five games. However, he remains one of the greatest bets for this game, and you may place a wager on him.

Bowlers

Fazalhaq Farooqi: He is the leading wicket taker for Thunders this season. In two matches, he has taken five wickets at an average of eight, an economy of five, and a strike rate of 9.6.

Brendon Dogget: The 28-year-old bowler has three wickets in two games at an average of 17, an economy of 8.5, and a strike rate of 12.

All Rounders

Andre Russell: In the first game, he played a crucial role for the Renegades with both bat and ball. He scored 35 runs on 28 pitches and smashed three sixes. In three overs, he took one wicket for 26 runs.

Nic Madinson- The Renegades captain was named Player of the Match in the previous game. He hit 87 runs off 49 pitches, leading the squad to a total of 166 runs.

Match Prediction

Renegades will seek to exploit a lack of confidence in the Thunders batting line-up after getting bowled out for 15 in their previous encounter. The Renegades have the players to accomplish it with a powerful bowling lineup.
