England will tour Bangladesh in March 2023

England will tour Bangladesh for six white ball games in March 2023, the England Cricket Board confirmed on Tuesday, December 27.

The three lions will play the first two ODIs of the series on March 1 and 3 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka. The final match will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS), Chattogram.

After the ODI series, the two teams are scheduled to compete in a three match T20I series which will be played on March 9, 12 and 14. While ZACS will host the opening game, SBNCS will host the remaining two. This will be the first ever bilateral series between these two sides.

England are also scheduled to play two warm up matches ahead of the ODIs. England hasn’t toured Bangladesh since 2016, where they won the ODI series by 2-1.

ECB Interim Chief Executive Officer, Clare Connor, said: "It is exciting that the England Men's white-ball squad will return to Bangladesh for the first time since 2016. The atmosphere generated in Dhaka and Chattogram for this eagerly-anticipated tour will be fantastic.

"There is a great passion for cricket across Bangladesh, and we expect a tough challenge against a side who have an excellent record in home conditions."
