Team India's gun bowler Bumrah has been added for the ODI series against Lanka

The first match of the three-match T20 series against India and Sri Lanka (IND vs SL) will be played at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai from 7 pm today. Before this match, the Indian cricket council announced big news ahead of the series starter. The selection committee has included the lethal fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in Team India for the ODI series that will be played between the two teams from next week.

Due to injury, the 29-year-old Bumrah was out of cricketing action since September 2022 and was also ruled out of the Men’s T20 Championship in Australia due to a back injury. Bumrah was declared fit earlier but the team was cautious and did not include him in the squad earlier.

Jasprit Bumrah has become fit and has been included in the team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. He will be able to play in the three-match ODI series to be played next week, confirms the Indian cricket council by press release.

BCCI informed about the pacer's return by releasing a statement. “The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon.”

From Team India’s point of view, it is a piece of big news before the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, as Bumrah was injured for a long time and now he will return to professional cricket.
