Eoin Morgan is considering retirement amidst a poor run of form!

The white-ball captain of the England team, Eoin Morgan is all set to announce his retirement from International cricket. He’s been out of touch for quite some time now and failing against the poor Dutch side was the final nail in the coffin. According to English daily, The Guardian, Morgan might announce his retirement later this week and it is not his form that is to be blamed. The 35-year-old also is also prone to injuries and that might add to the reason for him announcing his retirement from International Cricket.

If he actually does decide to retire, Morgan will go down as one of the best captains in the history of English cricket. At a time, when white-ball cricket was at its extreme low in England, Morgan helped the team to be the champions of the world. He took the team to the finals of the T20 World Championship and helped to win their maiden world title in 50-overs cricket. His contribution to the development of the game in England is massive and no doubt that he instilled the attacking mentality among his players and that of course is the reason behind the success of the team in the recent past.

The captain also might announce his retirement post the T20 world championship this year. He has some unfinished business in the tournament and that can be a perfect end for him. However, he will have to prove himself with the bat till then. If he doesn’t improve, he might even get dropped. Thus, Morgan isn’t at a very comfortable place right now!
