Anrich Nortje doubtful for Ind T20 League 2022

South African speedster Anrich Nortje is likely to miss the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. The premier pacer hasn’t played much cricket since November last year. With he being an integral part of the South Africa’s national team across all formats, it remains unclear whether the South African Cricket board would let the 28 year old participate in the illustrious event, given the T20 World Series takes place later this year. 

At the same time other South African cricketers are in danger of missing out the first few weeks due to their home series against Bangladesh which includes 3 ODIs, 2 tests concluding on April 12. While Quinton De Kock, who has called his time from test cricket will be available for Lucknow right from the start, there is uncertainty on Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Makram, Marco Jansen and Russie Van der Dussen’s availability before the Bangladesh series ends. 

The Indian Cricket Board is in talks with the South African Cricket board in hopes of finding a solution to this problem. Considering the rapport between the two cricketing boards, we believe to come up with an ideal resolution.
