After ruthlessly beating the Proteas in One dayers, England Women would be keen to make their mark in T20Is as well. The first match of the three match series will be played on Thursday, July 21 at the County Ground, Chelmsford. The hosts were clinical in all three fronts during the ODIs. The same cannot however be said for the visitors. South Africa- Women looked clueless in English conditions. No real intent was seen throughout the three games. With the commencement of a new chapter, the women in green will hope to change their fortunes. 

England have come out as one the best limited overs sides in the last couple of years. They possess a balanced squad with specialists in all three departments. In the batting department they have the experience of Danielle Wyatt, Heather Knight and Nat Sciver which can come in handy during pressing situations. Sophie Ecclestone will lead the bowling prowess which comprises a variety of options. 

South Africa on the other hand are still searching for the first win of the tour. They were miserable in the ODI leg and would be keen to prove a point in the T20Is. Lizelle Lee’s sudden retirement at the start of the tour has clearly affected SA’s confidence. Infact Marizanne Kapp admitted that she is still in shock with her retirement. On the bright side, veteran Mignon Du Preez has returned for the T20Is, which should bolster them significantly.
