SW, the inaugural champions, have already qualified for their fourth final at the Women's T20 League and will be hoping to win their third title on Saturday at the MCA Stadium in Pune. SW registered a 49 run win over reigning champions TB in the first game of the season, and despite losing the second game to TV, their NRR remained good enough to qualify for the Finals.

TV is probably the best team in the race. Despite losing their last game to TB, the side showed great fight courtesy Shafali Verma, Kiran Navgire and Laura Wolvaardt’s contribution with the bat but unfortunately fell 16 runs short.   

When the last time these two teams last, Shafali and Wolvaardt helped TV chase down a 151-run target. TV would be desperate to get their hands on the trophy in what will likely be the final edition of the Women’s T20 Series.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the MCA Stadium allows the batters to play some good strokes in the initial overs. The batters would also be looking to target the shorter boundaries at the venue. However, as the contest progresses, the pitch could slow down with the spinners getting a lot of assistance from the surface. Therefore, the captain winning the toss in the big final will be looking to bat and a total in excess of 120 would be a competitive one.
