2nd Test: IND vs. SL 

Preview 

When it comes to white ball cricket, you will still give Sri Lanka some chance against India but in test cricket, they are miles behind India. The first test among these two nations is the prime example of how far Sri Lankan cricket is. Some of the players are talented but facing Jadeja, Ashwin and Axar Patel is a different challenge and they are not aware of that. It will take some time for all the players to understand how test cricket needs to be played and even if it takes time, the Sri Lankans should be happy that there’s a vision at least. A couple of years back, it was not there.

Coming to India, the team is all set to whitewash Sri Lanka. Batters faced some issues against the Sri Lankan pacers at times but Ravindra Jadeja’s impactful performance helped India reach a gigantic total from which the Lankans couldn’t recover. All eyes will be on Virat Kohli though. The last time he scored a century was in a pink ball test at Eden Gardens and the hope will be that the circle will come to an end now. In his 100th test match, he looked in a good touch but couldn’t take his team far. The fans will expect him to get his 71st 100 at Chinnaswamy Stadium, his home in the Indian T20 league.

The bowlers have pretty much done their job and there’s nothing to be worried about. Axar Patel is all set to replace Jayant Yadav in the playing XI and that just makes the team stronger. There shouldn’t be any other changes unless the team management decides to rest somebody and give Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj a chance. At this point, no matter who plays, team India will walk away with the trophy and also with the bragging rights of whitewashing Sri Lanka.
