Visa issues create delay in Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen’s departure to Australia

Indian pacers Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen, who were announced as the net bowlers for the Indian squad in Australia for the forthcoming T20 World Series 2022, are now stuck in India due to Visa issues.

Primarily Mohammed Siraj, Unmran Malik and Kuldeep Sen were scheduled to depart with the Indian cricket contingent to their training base in Perth on 6th October. But then Siraj was picked in the ODI series against South Africa as Chahar’s replacement looking forward to his superlative performance in white ball cricket. The other two missed their flight due to visa issues.

Umran Malik, the young pace sensation from Kashmir, impressed the selectors with his ability to constantly click above the 150kph mark while bowling. He has done it already in the Indian T20 League 2022. Whereas Kuldeep Sen was the star performer from the Rajasthan franchise in this year’s Indian T20 League.

It has also been reported that Umran Malik has joined the Jammu and Kashmir squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Mohali. The furious pacer has got the privilege from BCCI to join the team’s camp in Mohali, who are practising for the Elite Group C match against Meghalaya.

In the meantime, Kuldeep’s departure has also been delayed, however, there is no such news that he will play for Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy like Umran.

It is much anticipated now that Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen will depart soon for Australia with other standby players namely Mohammad Shami, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravi Bishnoi.
