Josh Inglis rushed to hospital after a bizarre injury on golf course
Australia wicket keeper-batter Josh Inglis has been admitted to a local medical facility in Sydney after sustaining a freak hand injury while playing golf. The 27 year old is being assessed by the medical team.
Inglis was left with a gravely cut hand after the handle of the club he was swinging splintered upon impact while he was playing golf at the New South Wales Golf Club, on Botany Bay’s northern headland near Sydney airport, on Wednesday morning.
Inglis, part of Australia’s current T20 World Series squad, is not expected to be a part of the playing XI against New Zealand on Saturday. Matthew Wade, instead is the first-choice keeper but Inglis’s injury has certainly left Australia in deep waters.
