Virat Kohli has been tested positive for Covid in London!

Reports are doing the rounds in the market that the former India captain Virat Kohli has been tested positive for Covid-19. With that, the sole reason why India’s tour of England was cut short last year seems to gloom in the air once again. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t travel with the squad after he was tested positive for Covid and now the ‘King’ of Indian cricket is under quarantine before the warm-up match against Leicestershire. The worrying sign at the moment is that there could be many other players who might get affected because of the virus.

“Yes, Virat Kohli was also affected by Covid after coming back from his Maldives vacation,” a source told TOI on Wednesday. Even though nothing has been confirmed as of now, the fans are worried about the players while the broadcasters are worried if the match will go on as per schedule.

The 33-year-old was seen taking pictures with his fans at Leicester and also giving a heart-warming speech in the training ground on Tuesday. He was in good shape and the fans were expecting him to finally score a hundred after a very tough couple of years.

The test match is scheduled to start on 1st of July while the white ball series will begin on July 7 where Team India will take on England at Southampton.
