What a turnaround as Arsenal moves into the top four of the Premier League

Arsenal from being second last team in the Premier League after game week four has now entered into the top four of the Premier League. Michael Arteta, the manager who faced left and right from the media and from his own fans has now been worshipped. Well, of course not literally but he is getting praises from all across the globe to instill the winning mentality in this team.

The club is going through a lot of problems as well. Just before the match, Pierre Aubameyang was stripped from his captaincy after breaching some rules. He was also ruled out of the game against West Ham, who has been playing some fantastic football in the tournament. Arsenal however had no problem whatsoever to beat them. Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners ahead right after the break while Emile Smith Rowe made it 2-0 in the 87th minute of the match. The young Englishman has already made a huge impact in the club and is winning games for the club.

Arsenal could have made it 3-0 but unfortunately Alexandre Lacazette, the newly appointed captain failed to convert it from the spot-kick. Their goalkeeper Ramsdale, who’s been in terrific form had nothing much to do for the entire match and in the end it was all too comfortable for the Gunners. With 29 points from 17 games, Arsenal has now entered into the top four.

Michael Arteta was of course delighted with the performance. In a post match interview, the Spaniard said, “Really pleased with the attitude, the commitment, the quality we showed in the game. The players play for the club and the pride that we expect from them. I was really happy from the beginning, because we knew that we had to play really good to beat West Ham”.

Taking a dig at Aubameyang and speaking about Lacazette’s captaincy, the coach said, “He’s next in line. It’s in his nature. He’s not a selfish player. He’s a player that’s happy when he makes the team better”.
