Micheal Hussey, David Saker added to England’s coaching staff for T20 World Series
England have bolstered their coaching setup with two new last moment additions ahead of the T20 World Series. Micheal Hussey and David Saker are set to join Matthew Motts for the grand event.
The two Aussies have been appointed as ‘Coaching Consultants’ in a team that already has two Assistant Coaches- Richard Dawson and Carl Hopkinson.
“Saker, England Men's bowling coach from 2010 to 2015, will join the tourists in Pakistan for the seven-match tour preceding the World T20," said a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Saker has prior coaching experience with the Australia men's national team, Sri Lanka, and in the Aus T20 League with Melbourne.
Micheal Hussey has also served in coaching roles with the Chennai franchise in the Indian T20 League. He previously worked for Australia and South Africa as their batting consultant.
