Mohammad Hasnain allowed to bowl after clearing action test

Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been cleared to bowl in international cricket after passing the reassessment test at the International cricket board accredited centre in Lahore. His elbow flex was found to under the permissible 15 degree level of tolerance

The 22 year old was reported for a suspect action by umpire Gerrard Abood in January this year during his time with the Sydney in the Australian T20 League. The quickie was suspended from bowling after his action was tested during the Pakistan T20 League the following month.

While Hasnain was allowed to continue bowling in domestic cricket, the PCB asked him to focus on tweaking his action and even appointed a high-performance coach in the form of Umar Rasheed to work with him.

Hasnain then underwent reassessment of his bowling action on May 21 and the report was again verified by Cricket Australia’s independent experts, as per the International Cricket Board regulations.

Hasnain, who has T20I hat-trick to his name, last played for Pakistan in T20I against the West Indies in December 2021.
