NorthEast is yet to register a win in this season of Indian Football League. They were in a great run of form in the previous season and also reached the semi-finals. However, nothing is working for them this time around. Goa on the other hand had a terrible start to the season. They are at the bottom of the table with 0 points in their books and will be looking to finally register a win. Things won’t be easy though.

No one thought Goa would be having such a bad start to the league. The Durand Champions look lost on the pitch and that is costing them a lot. As Igor Angulo left the club this season, the Gaurs are unable to capitalize on the chances they are creating. They have the lowest shot accuracy rate in the league and that is the prime reason why they are at the rock bottom of the table. Fernando is a decent coach but his tactics are not working at all. They are dominating the possession and that’s that. Looks like they forgot how to attack and the team needs to do much better to finish the league in a respectable position. There are a lot of expectations from the team and the team needs to step up to satisfy the fans. Otherwise it isn’t far enough when Fernando will be fired from his position as the head coach.

Khalid Jamil is a brilliant tactician. He analyzes his opponents really well and then he makes his plans accordingly. Against Goa, he definitely has many ideas for the Highlanders to attack but again, his forwards are failing him every god-damn time. Now with Federico Gallego out with his injury, problems keep piling up and NorthEast needs to find the answer immediately. Khassa Camara and Mathias Coureur will be the ones who should inspire the Highlanders for the win but it is tough for them. Players like VP Suhair, Santana and others need to step up big time. This is the best time to find momentum and take all three points from Goa.
