Premier League Giants eye Madrid’s Ascencio

As per the Football Insider reports Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all in contention to sign Real Madrid winger Marco Ascensio

The Spanish international could leave Real Madrid as a free agent when his contract expires this summer, having joined the Whites from Mallorca in 2016. He is open to discuss a pre-contract with any club as of now.

Spurs and United have already shown keen interest in roping in the 27 year old, while Arsenal have been heavily linked for quite some time and are now said to be ready to compete- all three clubs have reported to be in talks with intermediaries about a possible deal.

Asensio has mainly been used as a substitute player by Carlo Ancelotti this season, with just only 9 of his 30 appearances in all competitions coming from the start and has still managed to record six goals and five assists.

If he joins Arsenal then he is expected to compete with Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson in the right flank for game time. After getting beaten by Chelsea at the last instance for the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, Arsenal are hoping to avoid a similar scenario when the summer transfer comes to an end.

Spurs have plenty of attacking options in their lineup, while the Red Devils bagged Antony in the summer, so Asensio is likely to face competition from the other three.
