Richa Ghosh, Amelia Kerr and Muneeba Ali achieve career-best numbers

Richa Ghosh has become the fifth Indian batter to be in the top 20 rankings for women following valuable contributions in the past week at the Women’s World T20 Cup. That’s career best for Ghosh in the batters’ chart and she is accompanied by Amelia Kerr and Muneeba Ali, who have also reached career high numbers.

Ghosh scored an unbeaten 44 in a win over West Indies, and a valiant 47 against England, which fetched her enough points to finish the week up 16 spots to 20th despite a golden duck against Ireland. Smriti Mandhana (No.3), Shafali Varma (No. 10), Jemimah Rodrigues (No.10) and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (No.13) are the fellow Indians in the top 20.

Meanwhile, Kerr acquired the 16th position on the back of a match winning 66 against Sri Lanka. She is also ranked 13th in the bowlers rankings and is up at number 3 in the all rounders table in T20Is.

Meg Lanning moved one place up to fourth after scoring a 48* against bangladesh, while Suzie Bates has climbed two places to no. 6 after her knocks of 81 and 56 against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively.

Tazmin Brits has jumped six places to No. 21 just behind her is Amy Jones at 26th (up by six places) followed by Orla Prenderghast (up by eight places) and Harshitha Sarawawickrama (up by four places) at 39th.

In the bowling rankings, Lea Tahuha has not only climbed up from tenth to seventh after claiming up eight wickets in four games- including a splendid three-fer against Australia.

Darcie Brown is the newest entrant in the top ten rankings. The 19 year old has occupied the eight spot. Hayley Matthews has got to the tenth place after a 2 for 14 against Pakistan.

Ashleigh Gardner has retained her top spot in the all rounders category, but Deepti Sharma has dropped a couple of places to fourth, with Matthews and Kerr moving up, and Nida Dar reaching the fifth place after moving up two spots.
