Rohit suffers from a thumb Injury in the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh

India skipper Rohit Sharma has been injured in the second ODI. In fact, in the second over of Bangladesh's innings, Rohit left Anamul Haque's catch to slip off Siraj's ball, while attempting for a catch in the slip cordon he injured his left thumb and he was taken to the hospital for his x-ray. Following this incident, he was forced to leave the field. Team India's cricket Board has given and tweeted an update regarding Rohit Sharma's injury.

The Board tweeted that India's captain Rohit Sharma suffered a thumb injury while fielding in the second ODI. He was assessed by the team India's medical team. He has now gone for scans. Apart from this, Bangladesh captain Liton Das has decided to bat first after winning the toss in the second ODI against India in Dhaka on Wednesday. India made two changes, bringing in Umran Malik and Axar Patel in place of Kuldeep Sen and Shahbaz Ahmed respectively. Kuldeep was unavailable for selection due to a sore back. Bangladesh also made one change, bringing in Nasum Ahmed in place of Hasan Mahmood.

At the same time, Team India wanted to win this match and equalize 1-1 in the three-match series. Batting first, Bangladesh set a target of 272 runs in front of India with the help of Mehidy Hasan Miraz's magnificent hundred which came on the last of the Bangladesh innings. He remained not out on 100, slammed a maiden ODI century, and forged a 148-run stand with Mahmudullah (77) to lift Bangladesh to a challenging total after being reduced to 69 for six in 19 overs.
