The 1st ODI match of the 3-match ODI series will be played between India and Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 10 January at 01:30 PM IST Live from Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Earlier in the 3-match T20I series where the Men in Blue defeated Sri Lanka by 2-1 to win the T20I series against the Lankan Lions. 

It is expected that in the first match of the ODI series to be played against Sri Lanka, Team India will be captained by Rohit Sharma, will register a win and take an edge in the series. On the other hand, if we talk about the T20 series, then the visiting team Sri Lanka gave a tough fight to India. Team India will not take Sri Lanka lightly in the ODI series.

For this ODI series, the Indian team includes big names like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Jasprit Bumrah. In the T20 series, he scored 124 runs in 3 matches at an average of 62 and he can also bowl for his side if needed.

Both sides last played an ODI match in July 2021, when a second-string Indian side toured the Lankan Lions under Dhawan’s captaincy. India won the series 2-1 as the Sri Lankan team spared themselves from a series whitewash by winning the third ODI. India has won 8 out of their last ten fixtures against Sri Lanka and will be looking to continue their domination.
