Stars and Sixers square off in match 13 of the Aus T20 League 2021 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 15, Wednesday. Stars were dismantled by Sixers in the opening game of the tournament. Since then, they have recovered well and beaten Thunders twice to get their campaign back on track. The men in green compiled a clinical   performance to outplay Thunders in the last game. After winning the toss, Glenn Maxwell opted to bowl first. The DLS method came into effect and Sixers needed to score 196 runs in 108 balls to maintain their unbeaten streak but they unfortunately fell short by 44 runs. 

Stars are bolstered by the addition of Andre Rusell. He is one of the major reasons behind their turnaround this season. He scored a whirlwind 43 in the last game to back his brisk 16 in the previous game. Maxwell was also seen among the runs in the previous fixture. This is a good sign for Melbourne, as the skipper's form is instrumental for their chances this season. Brody Crouch and Qais Ahmed picked two wickets apiece in the last game against Thunders and we expect them to come good in this game as well. 

Sixers have been one of the consistent outfits in this competition. Despite the humiliating loss in the last game, the former champions are positioned at second in league standings. With Moises Henriques, James Vince and Daniel Hughes in their ranks, the Sixers batting unit has a lot of depth. Bowling department has the likes of Ben Manenti, Steve O’Keefe and Sean Abott who have all made valuable contributions with ball in hand.
