With one win in four games, Strikers are precariously placed at fourth in the points table. They lost their last game against Sixers by 4 wickes. Heat on the other hand have had a torrid season so far. They are languishing at the second last position with four points to their name. 

The loss of Alex Carey has badly hurt the batting prowess of Strikers. Weatherald and Shot have failed to provide their team a good side. While Shot has built his reputation as a hit and miss player, Weatherald is struggling to get his timing right. Jonathan Wells is another player who is having a terrible season so far. Max Bryant is another premier ball striker who is struggling to find the meat of the bat. Sam Heazlett and Ben Duckett have shown positive intent but have been inconsistent. In a nutshell, the Heat batters have not played to their potential so far. Skipper Pierson will be hoping his batting department to fire on Thursday. Bowling is a serious concern for the visitors. Their foreign recruit, Mujeeb ur Rahman has failed to create an image so far. Similarly leg spinner Mitchell Swepson has bowled well in patches but hasn’t been able to bamboozle the opposition batters. Mark Stekette and James Bazley are the two bowlers to watch out for.
