After humiliating West Indies in the ODIs, India will try to continue their domination in the T20Is. The first of the five T20Is will be played on Friday, July 29 at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. Led by Shikhar Dhawan, the men in blue were ruthless during the ODIs. They outclassed the Windies in all three departments and as a result emerged victorious. 

The hosts on the other hand were unable to keep up with India’s brilliance. Ahead of the T20I series, they will be hoping to put on a much improved show with both bat and ball in hand. 

Despite the 3-0, West Indies did have a few positives from the ODI leg. In the first two ODI they managed to score 300+ totals and bowling was also good in patches. So, where are the Windies lacking? What should they do differently in order to obtain their first win? Well, we believe it is the right intent. The fact that they lost two games while dominating the majority of it speaks volume of their intent. They need to carry the aggression right throughout a game. Be it with ball or bat in hand, the hosts must realise that a game isn’t over until the last ball is bowled. Once you are in control, you should look to go for the kill. Windies are a renowned T20I unit and we expect them to live by their name and come hard right from the start.

Regular skipper Rohit Sharma is back in the mix and his inclusion into the side is certain to bolster the batting department for the visitors. Alongside Sharma stalwarts- Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin return to the T20I setup. Pace sensation Arshdeep Singh who impressed one and all in his debut against England is also in the squad.
