WI vs IND 2nd T20I Match Preview and Fantasy Prediction
India tour of West Indies
WI vs IND, 2nd T20I
India is set to face West Indies for the second time in the five-match T20I series. The second T20I will take place in Warner Park on 1st August 2022. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian side defeated West Indies by a huge margin of 68 runs. Overall India has put on a dominating display over the Caribbeans in both the ODI and T20I series.
India almost excelled in all categories to put on a commendable display. Leading the pack was skipper and opener Rohit Sharma and finisher Dinesh Karthik who is in sublime touch with the bat. While in the bowling department Ravichandran Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi performed extremely well. Surely the performance of both the senior players Dinesh Karthik and Ravichandran Ashwin would have well pleased the management. Except for the young keeper Rishabh Pant’s form in T20s, there is nothing much to worry about for Team India.
On the other hand, West Indies is suffering a huge setback on the batting side. Even Sharmarh Brooks and Shimron Hetmyer who were looking good, could not do much with the bat. While chasing 191 runs, the hosts didn't get a powerful start. The Pooran-led side struggled against the Indian spinners. West Indies would surely hope for better form in their batting side to give a good fightback against the overpowered Indian team.
Match: WI vs IND, 2nd T20I, India tour of West Indies, 2022
Date: Monday, 1st August 2022
Time: 8:00 PM
Venue: Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts
The pitch at Warner Park is expected to be good for the batters with the ball coming nicely to the bat. Also, the seamers are expected to get a good swing with the new ball but will face difficulty in good line and length as the ball gets old. The winning captain might choose to chase the target.

India will still be the favourites to win this duel. Both the departments are in excellent form and a perfect balance is present which rather makes them a formidable side. West Indies however cannot be taken lightly when it comes to the shortest format of the game. We have witnessed in the past how dangerous of a side they can be when they are in good trim. We fancy India to just edge past their opponents and go 2-0 up in the series.
