Sri Lanka Women and Thailand Women will square off in the seventh match of the Women's Asia Cup T20 2022 will take place on Tuesday, October 4, at the Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium in Sylhet 

The Sri Lanka Women got off to a losing start to the competition. After losing to India Women in their opening game, they defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Women to secure two crucial points.

Harshitha Madavi, who scored 37 runs in the first innings, was instrumental in helping the Lankan squad total 109 runs in 20 overs. In response, UAE Women got off to a quick start, however bad weather caused the game to be cut short to 11 overs.

The Lankan bowlers did a good job of holding the UAE Women to 54 runs, which allowed them to win the game by 11 runs via the DLS system. They will be eager to carry on their winning run in the tournament. 

Thailand Women, on the other hand, didn't perform particularly well in the competition. They suffered a dismal loss in their debut Women's Asia T20 2022 encounter against Bangladesh Women.

The Thai batters were bundled out for 82 after electing to bat first. Phannita Maya was the team's top scorer with 26 runs. The bowlers then struggled to restrict the opposition, just taking one wicket in the process.

Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium is a slow pitch.  Batters will find it difficult to score runs in this venue. The batting side will have to make complete use of the field restrictions as making runs will get harder as the balls get old. The skipper winning the toss might choose to bowl first.
