Sri Lanka Women are set to clash against UAE Women in the 4th match of the current edition of the Women’s Asia T20 on Sunday, October 2. This will be the second game played by the Lankans in this tournament. Meanwhile, UAE will play their inaugural match of this prestigious Continental Cup. 

After a humiliating defeat against South Africa Women where they only managed to score 48 runs in the Commonwealth Cricket T20, Sri Lanka would try to bring back their glory with this tournament. The only thing that is worrying is their over-reliance on Chamari Atapattu. They have to decrease their dependency on a single player and focus on young talents like Kavisha Dilhari, Anushka Sanjeevani, and Malsha Shehani. The Lankan team management would hope that the young talents step up and take some pressure off Atapattu.

Women’s Asia T20 will provide Sri Lanka with a good chance to test their young talents. Against a team who haven't played in their league before, the Sri Lanka Women would be trying to put on a power-packed performance.
