Ghana, while at the second place in Group H, won’t head into this match with anything settled for them. Uruguay, on the other hand, still have a good chance of qualifying into the round of 16 if they win here. 

La Celeste have had a disappointing world cup so far at Qatar 2022. While they failed to find the back of the net against South Korea and had to eventually settle for a draw, they lost to Portugal 0-2. Uruguay denied Ghana the opportunity to become the first and only country to go to the world cup semi finals 12 years ago who would be more than happy to move ahead this time as well. If South Korea loses to Portugal, 3 points would be sufficient for Uruguay to advance. However, if both sides win, the second place in the group H would be determined by goal differential.  As of now, South Korea (-1) are in a better position than Uruguay (-2). Also, for the time since 1974, Uruguay will be at the risk of losing two consecutive group stages in a world cup.

Ghana have scored five goals in two matches so far, which is a testament of their attacking prowess upfront. However, they have also conceded 5 times, which exposes gaping hol;es in their back line. They will unlikely pay much heed to their defensive strategies and focus on what they do the best, which is attack the opposition. A win here will seal their entry into the knockout rounds. They may qualify even with a draw or loss, but Black Stars will take no chances and go for a kill for sure.

This has all the makings of a highly fascinating football game, and we anticipate an enjoyable clash. Uruguay must win, but Ghana will like their chances of grabbing at least a point, which would be sufficient to move to the next round if South Korea does not defeat Portugal.
