Zimbabwe look to change the fortunes in T20 series after humiliating whitewash

The Bangladesh team secured an unbeaten run in the ODI series, and Zimbabwe came close to the victory but ended up on the receiving side. The T20 format allows the wounded team to retaliate against the odds and Zimbabwe is capable of producing surprising performances. Bangladesh performed brilliantly in the ODI series and they have the momentum going into the T20 series as well. Zimbabwe have done well a few months back in the T20s against Pakistan and Bangladesh should be well aware about the host’s ability.

Zimbabwe once again will miss the services of Sean Williams and Craig Ervine in the upcoming T20 series, and add to more misery the experienced Brendon Taylor has been rested for the series. Sikandar Raza will lead the side, and Zimbabwe will bank on Raza to change the fortunes in the most unpredictable format of the game.

Bangladesh will be without Tamim Iqbal, as the opener ruled out due to knee injury and the eight week break is recommended by the medical staff. Bangladesh is still favorites to win the T20 series, as they have more T20 specialists in their ranks.  Despite the absence of Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh is more balanced than the host.
