Preview 

CS and KW are set to face each other on Tuesday, December 6 in match 2 of the Sri Lanka T20 League 2022 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota. CS led by Angelo Mathews are one of the dark horses of the tournament. They don’t have big stars in their ranks, but possess quality talents in their setup. They lost to DG in the Eliminator last season. 

Nicolas Dickwella, Angelo Mathews and Charith Asalanka will shoulder the batting responsibility for Stars. Benny Howell and Ravi Bopara form a formidable all rounder duo. In the bowling department, CS possess the likes of Naveen-Ul-Haq and Kasun Rajitha. 

KW is captained by Wanindu Hasranga, who made a move from the JK franchise after the first two seasons. He is expected to play a critical role, both with bat and ball, if KW wants to go ahead in the tournament. 

They have premium white ball hitters in the form of Najibullah Zadran and Andre Fletcher. Then they have potent all rounders such as Fabian Allen and Carlos Braithwate who are more than capable to single handedly change the outcome of the game with either bat, ball or both in hand. 

Pace bowler Matheesha Pathirana has also grabbed headlines for his stellar performances over the last few months. Having played for SL Under 19 and Chennai franchise, the fast bowler has come up to the ranks.
