Australia bolster its coaching staff with two additions

Australia Women’s team new interim coach Shelley Nitschke will have Jude Coleman from South Australia and Dan Marsh from Tasmania as supporting staff in the coaching setup.

The duo has been appointed as support for Shelley to complete the new team in the background ahead of their tri series in Ireland followed by Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The new appointments come in the wake of the assistant coach, Ben Sawyer, being named as the head coach of the New Zealand Women’s national team.

Coleman comes into the setup with prior experience in indoor cricket as well as serving as the assistant coach of South Australian Scorpions and Adelaide in the Women’s T20 League. The duo has also worked with the successful Australia A team recently.

"It's great to have coaches of such high calibre in the Australian system who we can call upon like we have with Jude and Dan," stated Ben Oliver, EGM of High Performance and National Teams, on Monday (June 6)ge.

"Both have extensive coaching and playing experience and did a brilliant job with the Australia A team earlier this year, so we know they'll be of great assistance to Shelley, Meg and the team over the coming months."
