The Dhaka side had a good start to this league season as they were defeated by the Khulna side by a 6-wicket margin. They are currently seated in third place in the points table with 2 points under their belt. In the third match of the league, Khulna had a poor start to their innings and managed to put up a total of 113 against the Dhaka side. Al-Amin restricted run flow with an excellent four-fer along with skipper Nasir Hossain and Arafat Sunny picking two wickets apiece. Dhaka comfortably chased the target with 6 wickets and 5 balls to spare. Skipper Narul Hossain demonstrated an all-around performance by contributing with the bat (36 runs off 36 balls) again after a successful spell. 

On the other hand, the Sylhet side is leading the league chart with two successive wins, the first against Chattogram and the second against Barishal. In the second match, Barishal while batting first posted a massive 194 runs on the scoreboard. Shakib al Hasan smashed 67 runs off just 32 balls to power the innings. Mashrafe Mortaza took 3 wickets, the highest from the opposition side but failed to stop the flow of runs. Sylhet batters were flying on confidence and their performance in the run chase illustrated that very well. No Barishal bowlers were exempted from big shots. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zair Hasan scored in the 40s while Towhid Hridoy went to play a knock of 55 runs off 34 balls to wrap up the match in 19 overs.
