Kolkata appoints Bharat Arun as their new bowling coach

It was reported for quite some time that the former India bowling coach might join a franchise in the Indian T20 League but no one thought that it’s going to be Kolkata. The purple franchise took to twitter on Friday to announce their new bowling coach.

People who know the contribution of Bharat Arun in Indian cricket will surely agree with the fact that he has changed Indian Cricket. He was with the national team for six long years and has groomed the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj and so many others. He is the reason behind India’s victory in overseas conditions and no one can deny his impact in the Indian dressing room back then. Thus, before the auction, Kolkata made a massive signing and it will definitely strengthen their team in the upcoming season.

After joining the franchise Bharan Arun said, “I'm very excited and looking forward to becoming part of a highly successful franchise, such as Kolkata”. He added, “I have admired the Kolkata franchise for not only being very successful in the Indian T20 League & around the world in T20 leagues but also for the way it is very professionally run”.
