The reigning champions Sixers will be crossing swords with Scorchers in the Grand Finale of the ongoing edition of the Aus T20 League 2021-22 at the Docklands Stadium, Melbourne on Friday. In Fact this will be the second time in a row when these two sides meet in the summit clash, with the Sixers outfit coming out on top by 27 runs to win their third title.  

Sixers suffered a crushing 48 run loss against Scorchers in the Qualifier, but bounced back in style registering a 4 wicket victory in the Challenger to seal a third straight final berth and renew their rivalry with Scorchers. Hayden Kerr unbeaten 98 against Strikers in the Challenger guided his side to the grand finale. While Sean Abott and O’Keefe ripped through the Strikers batting lineup, Kerr anchored the chase and ensured his side got over the line. After a convincing win in Challenger, Henriques and co will be heading into this encounter with a lot of confidence. Batting department comprises the likes of Henriques, Kerr, Avendando. Despite the unavailability of big guns Philippe and Vince, the men in pink have done a great job to maintain balance within the squad. Sean Abott will lead the bowling prowess for the defending champs. He along with Dwarshuis can cause some serious problems for SCO batters. 

Scorchers have unarguably been the team to beat this season. They have been impressive in every department of the game and each of their players have made necessary contributions with both bat and ball in hand. Patterson, Munro and Marsh will be the batsmen to watch out for. While Tye, Agar and Beherendoff will be the bowlers to keep an eye on.
