Hardik Pandya is very likely to lead the Ahmedabad franchise in Indian T20 League

There were a couple names that were in discussion but the latest report says that the hometown boy, Hardik Pandya is very likely to lead the Ahmedabad franchise in the upcoming Indian T20 League. Other than him, there was Shreyas Iyer who was in touch with this new franchise but the owners and management of the CVC Capitals have decided to go with Pandya. According to sources, the former Delhi captain is a marquee choice for the Kolkata and Bangalore based franchise.

Not just the Indian all-rounder, initial reports claim that Rashid Khan may also join the Ahmedabad franchise. The Afghani spinner was in touch with the Lucknow franchise as well but with KL Rahul being their first choice, the Afghani decided not to settle below 15 cr. The same problem he faced in Hyderabad. The Ahmedabad franchise is offering him 15 crore and is making him their first pick while Hardik will be their second picked player.

After missing out on Rashid Khan, the Lucknow franchise is looking for Marcus Stoinis and Kagiso Rabada as his potential replacements.
