Preview 

Heat and Hurricanes will lock horns in match 41 of the Aus T20 League 2021 at Gabba, Brisbane on Saturday. Missing 12 of their main players due to COVID-19 pandemic, Heat went out with a second string side in the last game against Renegades and lost the match by 5 wickets. They are expected to go into the field with the same squad. Hurricanes on the other side will look to regain some momentum. They have lost their previous two encounters against Strikers and Heat.

With 14 points to their belt, the men in blue are currently positioned at sixth place in the league standings. They will look to gain a win and move up the ladder. The depleted heat squad opted with 10 debutants in the last fixture due to the covid fiasco within their unit.  Fakhar Zaman and Jake Lehman were the only known names among the ten. Both Zaman and Lehman are free flowing batters who will enjoy batting on the Gabba wicket. Heazlett and Cooper will have to shoulder the batting responsibility for the hosts who lack depth and experience in the batting department. Bowling prowess comprises Ronan Mcdonald, David Grant and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Grant and Mcdonald impressed one and all with their skills with ball in hand in the last game and would be keen to continue from where they left against the Renegades. Rahman will lead the inexperienced bowling unit for the home side. 

Peter Handscomb will lead Canes in absence of regular skipper Matthew Wade. The men in purple have lost momentum in the last couple of games. They have been on the receiving end in their games against Strikers and Heat. Ben Mcdermott,D’arcy Short and Tim David will be the batsmen to watch out for whereas their bowling attack will feature premier bowlers  Riley Meridith, Tom Rogers and Lamichane. Sandeep’s return to form is a big positive for the Hurricanes. He picked key wickets at crucial junctures in the previous clash and would be keen to continue the heroics of the last fixture
