Heat are set to face Scorchers in match 53 of the Aus T20 League 2020-21 at the Docklands Stadium, Melbourne on Monday. With Heat already out of the tournament, the men in blue will have nothing but pride to play for. They were knocked out by Stars in their previous game. Scorchers on the other hand will be keen to return to winning ways after losing their last fixture against the Strikers. The former champions have already qualified for the next round and will look to end their league stage on a high. 

Heat are yet to find form in this edition. They have been all over the place with nothing going their way. First they lost quite a few players due to COVID then premium ball Striker Chris Lyn and Mr Consistent Ben Duckett were ruled out of the side sustaining an injury. The dynamic duo however returned for the do or die encounter but were unable to save their side from elimination. Batting has been one of the major concerns for the men in blue. They will need to sort out their batting woes before the key clash. Chris Lynn has had an awful T20 competition so far. He is torn between defending and attacking the ball which has often led to his wicket. We believe he is at his best when he plays his natural game which is fearless, aggressive batting. Max Bryant compliments him well and thus the two should open the innings for Heat. Ben Duckett has been the most consistent performer for Pierson and Co with bat in hand. He will look to continue his fine form and lead the batting charge against the Scorchers. Bowling department comprises the likes of Bazley, Stekette, Swepson and Kuhnemann. 

Scorchers have hardly put a foot wrong in the tournament so far. Batting looks potent with Munro, Patterson, Bancroft and Evans all getting among the runs. Bowling department has been lethal with Tye and Beherendoff leading the charge. While Behrendorff has established his prowess with the new ball, Tye has delivered with the old ball. Peter Hatzalgou has impressed one and all with his ability to pick wickets at crucial junctures. He will be the other bowler to keep an eye on. The former champions without a doubt are the most dominant outfits this season and will be keen to continue their ascendancy.
