Is there anything new India can try in the 3rd T20 International? Well, of course. To win the series, team India needs to win all the rest of the matches and it starts with the 3rd T20I at Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, the South African team will be pretty relaxed coming to the series as they are leading 2-0 and a single win in any of the remaining matches will seal the fate of the series. However, the team is not taking anything for granted. With their eyes set on the T20 World Championship, the Proteas are looking in much better shape and playing some extraordinary cricket in testing conditions.

India needs a new plan to counter South Africa in the 3rd T20 International. Umran Malik’s debut can very well be one of them but more importantly, Captain Rishabh Pant and the team management needs to understand the strength of all the players. Hardik was really good with the new ball in the Indian T20 League and thus he should have been given the same role but that wasn’t the case. Performances of Yuzi Chahal and Axar Patel are under the scanner as Rishabh Pant has already expressed his disappointment regarding the same. AS a finisher Dinesh Karthik has done well but the process was really slow and he needs to get better to finalise his spot for the T20 World Championship. Ruturaj will also be tested and he needs to show his skill to find a place in the Indian team. Otherwise, there are too many talented cricketers sitting outside at the moment. Bowlers are the ones who will be under the scanner in the third match as India is looking to build their core for the World Series.

When it comes to South Africa, the team has surprised one and all. They didn’t succumb to the pressure and have played exceptional cricket so far. Be it with the bat or with the bowl, the Proteas can take back a lot of positives. David Miller and Heinrich Klassen’s form will definitely inspire the rest of the members in the team. The bowlers were fantastic in the previous match with Rabada leading the attack. Quinton De Kock might make his return to the squad in the 3rd match and with that, the South African team will only get stronger. The team management will only hope that Dwaine Pretorius will prove himself as a number 3 batter.
