Team India will face Bangladesh in the 2nd Test Series which will commence on Thursday, December 22, and continue till Monday, December 26, 2022. The game is scheduled at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. 

The Men in Blue would look forward to a clean sweep of Bangladesh in the Test series after facing a humiliating defeat in the 3-match ODI series against the hosts. 

Team India bounced back after the ODI series loss and recorded a 188-run win over the Bangla Tigers in the first Test Match. In the inaugural match, India while batting first scored 404 in the first innings. Cheteshwar Pujara missed on a well-deserved century by just 10 runs. He played an outstanding inning of 90 runs in 203 balls. Rishabh Pant was in a wrap-up mood which cost him his wicket. He scored 46 runs in 45 balls. Shreyas Iyer again exhibited his importance in the team by scoring 86 runs off 192 balls. He gave up his wicket on the 1st half of the second day. He was also a potential contender from the Indian side to hit a ton. This wasn't the end as the Indian bowlers also contributed a wholesome in the high-scoring target. Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav played amazing knocks of 58 and 40 runs respectively to add to the total. Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took four-fers but failed to restrict the run flow. Now coming to Kohli, the big fish was trapped on earlier in just 5 balls by Taijul Islam for a leg-before wicket. We expect Virat Kohli to step up with something amazing in the second test match after scoring 1 and 19* in the first test. 

Bangladesh batters while chasing the target were bullied by the Indian bowlers. Muhfiqur Rahim scored the highest 28 runs off 58 balls. Indian chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who made his comeback in the team quite after sometime, went on to take a fifer in this match. Mohammed Siraj also picked up three wickets to wrap up the innings at just 150 runs. 

India's second innings was all about the brilliance of just two batters, Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara. The opening batter, Shubman Gill scored his first test century. (110 in just 152 balls) and the well-experienced batter Pujara, who missed his ton in the first innings went on to smash a century this time. (102 runs off 130 balls) 

Bangladesh in the 2nd innings was run down by the openers, Najmul Hossain Santo and Zakir Hasan who scored 67 and 100 runs respectively. They were assisted by the skipper himself in the middle half, Sakib smashed 84 important runs but received no help from the other half. This resulted in the hosts losing the game against India by 188 runs. This time, Axar Patel gathered up a four-wicket haul. 

Kuldeep Yadav was the star of the show as he bagged 3 wickets again in the 2nd innings to take a total of eight in the first test along with scoring 40 runs in the first innings. He was awarded the Man of the Match award for his brilliant all-round performance.
