Marcus Stoinis has been rued of the Sri Lanka series

Another couple of injuries in the Australian camp as the all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has been ruled out of the ODI series against Sri Lanka while Agar is not ready to take part as of now. Kane Richardson has already returned back to Australia following his hamstring injury and Mitchell Marsh and Mitchel Starc are already in the injured list. Things are not getting any smoother for the Kangaroos as they still have three ODI's and a test series left to play in Lanka.

Stoinis is a crucial part of the Australian squad as the all-rounder scored 44 off 31 balls in a close game. Agar also suffered an injury after taking a couple of wickets but he “will remain with the squad to continue to rehabilitate and ongoing assessment”, a statement read.

The red ball captain of the side, Pat Cummins has made his return to the ODI squad after 18 long months and said that the Australians have plenty of options to choose from.

“All the planning was going to be for perfect preparation, we had the Aussie A team over here, a big squad, but there were always going to be things that crop up”, said Cummins. He added, “It’s not ideal, the amount of injuries, but we will balance it out”.
