Indian Football League

MCFC vs HYD, Match Number 10

Preview

After bashing Goa in their first match of the campaign, the defending champions Mumbai will look to run past Hyderabad in a comfortable fashion. The yellow brigade didn’t have a good start in the league as they lost to Chennai in their opening game of the season. Against Mumbai, no doubt that it will be tough for them to make a strong comeback into the league but Hyderabad are a team who gives their all and fights till the last whistle. They do have some very good young Indian players who always make their presence felt and against Mumbai, expect them to step up their game.

Igor Angulo, who jumped shipped from Goa has been terrific in the first match of the season. He scored two goals and proved that the striker is here to score more. Ahmed Jahouh also proved his quality in the very first match. Des Buckingham is indeed coaching for the first time in India but the manager really controlled his team and young Indian players very well. Apuia, Rahul Bheke and others were handed an opportunity to debut and with more time they will become an asset for the team. They are once again one of the favourites to win the championship and against Hyderabad they would look to go one step ahead of the ultimate goal.

Hyderabad on the other hand has Bartholomew Ogbeche, Juanan, and Edu Garcia in their team. These players can change the fate of the match at any given time. Ogbeche, who used to play for the Islanders in the previous season, may prove to be very crucial. The team also has some good Indian talent and it makes the team a very dangerous one. They will never stop running, that’s for sure. It’s not that easy but if they can find the gaps in the defense, Hyderabad can take the game home. Through balls should be the strategy for them and they should definitely press Mumbai and depend on counter attacks.

MCFC vs HFC Predicted Line-ups

Match Prediction

Mumbai are the favourites to win the match and they should. They have got a good mixture of young and experienced players and it’s really very difficult to stop the defending champions. In football nothing is impossible but it will be very very difficult for Hyderabad to earn all three points from the match.
