Shoulder injury rules Shivam Dube out of Mumbai’s ranji squad

Shivam Dube will not feature in Mumbai’s squad for the Ranji knockouts. The Mumbai Cricket Association said the 28-year old all rounder who represented Chennai in the Ind T20 League is unavailable because of a shoulder injury. 

Ajinkya Rahane who prior to his hamstring injury had a forgettable Ind T20 League with Kolkata has also been left out of the squad. The Salil Ankola selection committee has included young Musheer Khan, a consistent performer in the age-group cricket, along with his elder brother Sarfaraz Khan in the 21-member squad. 

Mumbai will face Uttarakhand in the quarterfinals from June 6 to June 10 in Bangalore. The other quarter final lineups are Bengal vs Jharkhand, Karnataka vs Uttar Pradesh and Punjab vs Madhya Pradesh.
