Chasing 145 runs for victory, Hurricanes were way too cautious with their start. Both D’Arcy Short and Matthew Wade gifted their wickets trying to up the ante. Peter Handscomb stood tall against the Sixers bowling lineup but ultimately failed to take his team through the line. 

Sixers have made a phenomenal start to their campaign. The whole outfit has clicked has a unit and have done exceptionally well in all three departments. Captain Moises has led from the front and made invaluable contributions with both bat and ball. The defending champions have a pretty formidable batting unit with Daniel Hughes, James Vince, Josh Philippe and Moises Henriques in their ranks. Bowling department looks potent with Manenti, O’Keefe, Tom Curran, Jayden Kerr all among the wickets. 

Hurricanes will look forward to avenge the previous loss when they take the field against Sixers on Saturday. They looked decent with the ball in hand but struggled with the bat in their opening game. The men in purple will need to sort out their batting woes before they find themselves in a precarious position. Apart from Peter Handscomb, no other batsmen looked comfortable during their stay at the crease. Matthew Wade, D’Arcy Short, Nathan Ellis, Sandeep Lamichance are few names to watch out for.
