SL-W will take the field against IND-W in the second ODI on Monday, July 4 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. After a dominant show in T20Is, the visitors have started the One dayers in grand style. They defeated SL-W by 4 wickets on Friday to go 1-0 up in the three match series. IND-W will now be looking to carry forward the winning momentum and seal the series. SL-W on the other hand would look to bounce back and level the series. 

SL-W fell well short in the opening game. After opting to bat first on a good surface, Lankans failed to put on a competitive total. They lost wickets at regular intervals and eventually were bundled out for 171. Nilakshi de Silva top scored with 43. IND-W in reply easily chased down the total in 38 overs. Bowlers did a decent job in picking up six wickets and putting the Indian batters in some pressure but at the end of the day the target was just not enough. The hosts will need to come up with everything they have in the tank to keep the series alive. They specifically need to address their batting concerns ahead of the series decider. 

IND-W haven’t put a foot wrong in this tour. Apart from a loss in the third T20I, the visitors have been clinical. What is more impressive is the way they have managed to win the games thus far. The significant margin of their victories is a testament of how dominant they have been. In the last game, their bowlers did an exceptional job in restricting the opposition to a moderate total of 171. Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma then sealed the game with bat in hand. With the series up for grabs, we expect the women in blue to go hard.
