Team India is going to play the 3-match T20I series with Asia T20 winner Sri Lanka in January. The first match of the three-match series will be played on January 03 on Tuesday at 07:00 PM IST Live from Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The T20I series will be played first followed by the ODI series. During IND vs SL 2023 series, the three T20I games will take place on January 3, 5, and 7. The three ODI games are scheduled for January 10, 12, and 15.

For the T20I series, Hardik Pandya will lead the Men's in Blue. The likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli have been rested for the T20I series and they can make their comeback during the ODI series. Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar will be taking the responsibilities of the spin attack.

In the year 2022 for Sri Lanka, Nissanka scored the most runs in the T20 format. The left-handed opener scored 713 runs in 24 matches. Kusal Mendis scored 521 runs in 20 games at a strike rate of 132.23. Captain Dasun Shanaka scored 497 runs in 24 games at a strike rate of 135.79. Aslanka and Dhananjay de Silva will also have to show their bat power to give a tough fight to the team India.

Hasaranga's performance has been stellar for the Lankan Lions last year. In the year 2022, Hasaranga took 34 wickets in 19 matches for his side. Apart from Hasranga, Mahesh Thikshana also took 22 wickets. Bandara, Dilshan Madushanka, and Lahiru Kumara can also trouble the team India. All the players from both teams will be available for the match. There is no news of an injury to any player.
